My name is Sasala Wickramasinghe. I’m a Sri Lankan living in London. I’m a biochemist by training and work in the NHS as a healthcare scientist.
In this blog I write about my other passions which are urban sketching and watercolour. Most of my free time, outside my day job is devoted to art. I love colour and approach it with the same curiosity and dedication as I do for biochemistry – because after all, colour is science!
I started this blog during Covid-19 lockdown at the end of 2020 as more comprehensive way to share my urban sketching journey.
I travel to sketch and sketch to travel. Because I work full time I don’t have as much time to travel as I’d like, but I make the most of it when I get the opportunity.
I’m an admin and active member of the London chapter of Urban Sketchers – part of a global sketching community which I discovered in 2017.
